Deb Nordyke at the 2006 Summer Biathlon National Championships

Announcing the first ever Nordic Summer Challenge Series for cross country skiing and biathlon clubs throughout New York. This series is designed to be a fun wThe start of the Hill of Death climb in Peruay to increase fitness, stoke the competitive fires, and remind us all why we ski. The official series events will include both training events as well as some official competitions (running races, summer biathlon, etc.) and will be used to generate the official summer standings. Originally conceived as a challenge between Peru Nordic and Saratoga Biathlon (with the losing club buying the winning club pizza and beer), we have decided to open the events to all clubs (but you'll have to make your own pizza and beer wagers).

In addition to the official series events, we will post any training events that are sent to us. Please note that we do not sanction or in anyway insure your competitions/ training events. For that you should contact NYSSRA Nordic, or the appropriate NGB (national governing body).
